Posted on my LiveJournal in response to my account being hacked:
Wow. I'm very much not active here - it's not like I write much these days to begin with - but still, finding out my account was hacked gave me a fright. Ugh. Russian fuckers. I hope I repaired everything, since at least they were kind enough to only fuck with the bio, links and layout, and not the old posts.
I was sure my old layout was gone forever, only to accidentally recover it while trying to find a passable one to replace it. I'm glad. I mean... it looks horrid to anyone not signed in, and probably to anyone who isn't me, due to the placement of the ads, but still. Maybe I'll get around to fixing the css and graphics one day. In the meanwhile, though, I'm just happy to have regained control of what's rightfully mine. Still, if there's suspicious Cyrillic anything on this blog, without me specifically gushing about writing it myself for one reason or another, don't click on it. I'm sorry about the hassle. :/
ETA Mar 02, 2018: Aaand the saga continues. My account was suspended a few days after I regained control because LJ flagged it as spam, seeing as the malicious links the hackers put up remained on my blog for some time before I managed to purge them. This time, I really was fucked - I hadn't gotten around to downloading all the old posts and securing them before I was locked out. Thankfully, seeing as I had managed to remove the links before my account was suspended, the LJ abuse team restored my access to it. What an ordeal. Also the design is now broken for another reason - the graphics were hosted on the designer's servers and they have now removed them. I find it bizarre that I hadn't migrated the graphics to my own photobucket years ago, but apparently I never got around to it. Well, too late now. A few were salvageable, but most not, and to be honest I have no idea which graphics I'm missing (what they look like, I mean, since I do know where the graphics are supposed to be). Maybe one day I will really get around to updating the design...
