I lost my memory stick months ago, so some of the fics I had been working on are on hold. Luckily, I happened to find an old CD with back-ups of some of my older stories on it, so I come bearing a little gift: some one-sentence fics once more. Sorry, I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing, at least.

One sentence fics, take II

Fandom: Tales of Symphonia
Disclaimer: Not mine, not mine, I'm just borrowing.
Date Finished: Most of these were finished in 2007, some right now.
Pairing: Yuan/Botta.
Genre: Romance mainly. Smatterings of angst and humor here and there.
Rating: PG.
Contains: Slash, like that's going to surprise anyone.
Warnings: Spoilers, character death.
Author's Notes: This isn't a full set like the ones I posted way back. I have written 50 one-sentence fics for each of the theme sets provided by [livejournal.com profile] 1sentence, but none of the sets is good enough to be posted in its entirety, so you get a mix from all the sets. (Of course, there are a bunch of terrible sentences mixed in here, too.) The abbreviations are: A = Alpha, B = Beta, D = Delta and E = Epsilon, which correspond to the name of the theme set at the community. The number after the letter is the prompt number. Oh, and just in case... each sentence stands on its own and is not (necessarily) linked to any other story in this collection or in general.

Here be the stories. )

I felt like writing but couldn't make myself continue my old WIPs, so I was cruising around the net, searching for interesting writing challenges. I came across FlashSlash, a community where each week four words are posted as prompts and you have eight minutes to write a slash fic containing those words. I found the idea interesting but couldn't have cared less for the time limit; eight minutes is barely enough for me to get started on a fic if I want it to make any sense. :P I've written some ficlets using prompts from the community, but none of them were completed in under 30 minutes. Then again, I should hope that's a good thing. Judge for yourself. Feedback would be lovely. ♥

EDIT: Now hopefully more readable with actual linebreaks! That should teach me to code entries by hand. *grumbles*

PAPERWORK

Fandom: Tales of Symphonia
Disclaimer: Symphonia and its characters aren't mine. I'm just playing with 'em. :3
Date Finished: September 2010
Word Count: 1,170.
Inspired By: FlashSlash prompt 14, set 1
Prompt: Include these words in the fic: happy, file, enormous, click.
Pairing: Yuan/Botta.
Genre: Romance/humor. Or maybe it would be more accurate to call it fluff/WAFF.
Rating: PG.
Contains: Sickeningly sweet and silly slash. Very little actual plot. Really weird allusions to knights and dragons, for some reason.
Warnings: Crude language. I can't write Yuan not using such words, it seems.
Author's Notes: This turned out... weird, I think. I hate the pacing; it doesn't work here at all. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out, despite the fact that the whole thing wanted to derail itself at the end. I had no choice but to stick along for the ride, so you'll have to do the same. :P
Summary: Botta's mood: accomplished. Yuan's mood: mischievous. Result? A silly, light-hearted conversation and maybe something more.

Title: (Untitled)
Fandom: Tales of Symphonia.
Disclaimer: Symphonia and its characters and places aren't mine. I'm just borrowing.
Date Finished: Late 2007.
Word Count: 1350+.
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] tos_100, although I never posted this there.
Prompt: #18, Distrust.
Characters: Yuan, elves of Heimdall.
Genre: General/Drama. Or something like that. I'm bad at classifying these.
Rating: G.
Warnings: None.
Author's Notes: Written a long time ago, but I never posted this anywhere because something about it seemed off. I'm unlikely to do anything about it anymore, though, so I just shrugged and went, what the hey, I could at least put it up here.
Summary: After Yggdrasill has been vanquished, Yuan has something to do before he leaves the Renegades to their own devices -- and to achieve his goal, he needs to negotiate with the elves, however much they may hate him.

He landed softly, unfazed and unsurprised to find spears directed straight at his chest. )

Hiya!

I've been writing like crazy lately, but I haven't managed to finish anything yet. I went hunting for old fics one day, though, and I found some bits and pieces that might interest you guys, so here you go!

Short finished pieces / scenes:

FUTILE
Date finished: No idea. Late 2008 or early 2009, probably.
Fandom:
Tales of Symphonia
Character(s): Yuan & Botta
Word Count: Roughly 140.
Rating: PG.
Warnings:Spoilers. Character death mentioned.
Genre:
Angst
Notes: Inspired by the song Futile by Grendel.

Futile )

THE DARK SIDE
Date finished:
Same as with the previous one: late '08 or early '09.
Fandom: Tales of Symphonia
Character(s): The Renegades, sort of.
Word Count: Around 150.
Rating: G.
Warnings:Spoilers.
Genre:
General.
Notes: Inspired by the song The Dark Side... but unfortunately I don't know whose song that is. D:

RAGE AGAINST THE SKIES
Date finished: Late 2008; edited Oct 11, 2009.
Fandom: Tales of Symphonia
Character(s): Yuan, Botta.
Word Count: Some 800 or so.
Rating: PG-15.
Warnings:Spoilers, blood, foul language, dark themes.
Genre:
Angst.
Notes: Written for the theme "Enraged" in a challenge where the idea is to write about 100 moods. I'm not entirely sure I like the characterization here; I know what I was aiming for, but I think I fell short of it. Do tell me if it seems the boys are OOC. I probably won't fix it (because I don't know what to do about this piece anymore), but any advice will definitely come in handy in the future.

I finally decided to get around to posting my old fics here. These were written a couple of years ago, so I'm not looking for concrit - I like to think I've improved by now.

These were written for [livejournal.com profile] tos_100, the Tales of Symphonia Challenge Community. :)

Enjoy!
